Systems Analyst VI, Enterprise Architect will focus on development of HHS business, application, information, solutions and technology roadmaps for the office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This position requires understanding of the primary HHS business processes, technical aspects of all enterprise architecture domains, various enterprise architecture disciplines including; business, infrastructure, applications, data and security with infrastructure and technology experience around business, information, applications and technology, etc. This position will determine priority business needs and provide specific solutions and technologies for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives of the HHS enterprise. The Enterprise Architect should be able to lead initiatives using project management best practices and industry architecture frameworks. The Enterprise Architect will lead design efforts, define end to end architectures, oversee and perform research studies and presentations that include recommendations, and instructions for proposed implementations; formulating logical descriptions of problems; and recommending optimum solutions. This position requires someone with proven industry experience working with significant degree of creativity and independence. The Enterprise Architect will work with other IT groups in defining architectures, leading projects that cross functional agency systems and other state entities that require coordinating, planning, and scheduling during project transition, development and implementation stages. The position will report directly to the CTO and will also perform other duties as assigned.

A deep understanding of existing and emerging solutions, applications and technologies and how they can best be implemented to support the business drivers for the HHS enterprise. Strong communication and presentation skills. An ability to organize complex technology solutions, that include; specific technology deliverables, roadmaps, timelines, operational requirements and budgets impacts. Experience in interacting effectively with all levels of the agency including staff and executive management. Experience in attending and actively participating in executive-level meetings and briefings, and prepares a variety of reports/summaries for these meetings. Must be thorough, accurate, attentive to detail, able to manage multiple overlapping assignments, and be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Registration or Licensure Requirements:
TOGAF/Other EA certifications or equivalent experience
Initial Selection Criteria:
1. 6+ years of experience as an Enterprise architect, specific to technology domain. Experience in the identification and analysis of business drivers to derive enterprise business, application, information and technical solution architecture requirements. 2.5+ years of experience in identifying the organizational requirements for the resources, structures and organizational cultural changes necessary to support the technology solutions and specifications, design, development and implementation. 3.5+ years of experience in the development of technology and architecture standards and best practices.

This position requires understanding of the primary HHS business processes, technical aspects of all technology domains, various solution architecture disciplines including; infrastructure, applications, data and security with infrastructure and technology experience around network, server management, cloud solutions, VDI, Mobility etc. This position will determine priority business needs and provide specific technology solutions for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives of HHSC and the HHS enterprise. The Technology architect should be able to lead initiatives using project management best practices and industry architecture frameworks. The Technology architect will lead technology and design efforts, define end to end architectures, oversee and perform research studies and presentations that include recommendations, and instructions for proposed implementations; formulating logical descriptions of problems; and recommending optimum solutions.
