This course is intended for those that want a deeper dive than the introductory course. The course can be customized for those students who have some experience with modeling and modeling tools but may not be familiar with Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect.
Extending the Enterprise Architect Fundamentals materials, this course is a mix of lecture, discussion, and hands-on work that teaches students how to use more of the features of EA, including some of the value-added models, diagrams and elements that go beyond the basic capabilities of UML (e.g., BPMN, UPDM, TOGAF).
The course’s topics are introduced in conjunction with examples and hands-on exercises. The exercises provide a working knowledge of the tool while showing basic modeling principles for effective communication and problem analysis. In order to make the examples and hands-on exercises more relevant students may be asked to suggest topics from their own work or areas of interest. At the conclusion of the course students will be prepared to use more of the capabilities of EA to work effectively and in a team environment.
Now teaching the Sparx Enterprise Architecture Version 15.1:
Sparx Enterprise Architect version 15.1 includes several enhancements intended to provide opportunities for increased productivity and expanded capability.
