Course Description

This course is informed by the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), offering a means to incorporate Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling techniques into the business analysis process.   UML modeling elements and diagrams are presented for each Task within the BABOK where UML modeling is considered a best practice for performing the Techniques and recording the Outputs.  The models include extensions to the standard UML provided by Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect (EA).  This course is applicable to business analysts in all domains and is not dependent upon a specific process or methodology.

Use EA to model system behavior using a sequence diagram

Use EA to model requirements using a requirements diagram

Use EA to relate behavior to structure in a model

Use EA to prepare model views and reports

Module 10: Exploring EA models – model search and filtering

A 100% refund, minus a 5% processing fee, will be given to students who drop or withdraw from the EA Principals, Inc. class no later than the 21st day prior to the announced scheduled start date. No refund will be given within 21 days of the published start date. Students missing a portion of a class, due to emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, will be able to attend the next class on the same topic for the days missed, without additional fee. Students need not reregister; however, they must notify EA Principals, Inc. (by email or telephone), so the registration fee for the makeup class can be waived and class logistics provided.
